2023 Contender Canadian Championships

The 2023 Contender Canadian Championships were held on September 23/24 at the Outer Harbour Centerboard Club on Lake Ontario. The nine competitors were treated to two days of sun and an east wind. On Saturday, it blew 10-12, and on Sunday, 12-15 gusting in the high teens with big swell on the lake.

Mike Smits, who has won the title TEN times benefitted from some poor boat maintenance by the defending champ, Raines Koby. Pretty much everyone went for a little swimmy swim as well.
